Candidates who want to get admission in government (Public Sector / Private) medical/dental college in Punjab. It is being told that the Open merit and Reserved Seats seats are available in medical/dental colleges of the Punjab. The admission against these seats shall be carried out strictly on merit. if a candidate wishes to apply for admission in the Session 2024, he/she must appear in the MDCAT 2024. The total number of seats of MBBS and BDS in Public and Private sector in Punjab are same as last year. Students who has passed their Intermediate/HSSC Pre-Medical /Equivalent examination from a Board/University with at least 60% marks (unadjusted in Biology and Chemistry) or who is awaiting result of HSSC Part-II/Equivalent examination are eligible to apply for Medical & Dental College Admission Test. The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore (www.uhs.edu.pk) is responsible to conduct the Admission Test once a year. A student has to appear in the test of the year in which he/she is applying for admissions. The result of Admission Test MDCAT is valid for one year only. University of Health Sciences Lahore is a public university located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. It is an internationally recognized student centered research university with a mission of improvement of health care delivery to the populace.
Medical & Dental College Admission Test MDCAT is a pre-requisite test for admission in all medical and dental colleges both public and private sector in the Punjab. This test is taken as multiple choice questions (MCQ). Each MCQ carries 5 marks while there is a negative marking of -1 mark for wrong answer.
