What is Enquiry on Results (EOR)?

Enquiry on Results, also known as re-marking, is a process that allows IELTS candidates to request a review of their test scores. If you are not satisfied with your original results, you can apply for an EOR to have your test papers re-marked by a different examiner.

How to Apply for an EOR:

You must apply for an EOR within six weeks of your test date at the original test centre where you took the exam.

How to Apply:

• Complete the Enquiry on Result Form (EOR), available at your test centre or their website.
• Choose which sections you’d like re-marked (all four or specific ones). The fee is the same regardless of the number of sections.
• Submit the following documents along with your EOR application:

Original Test Report Form (TRF)

Completed EOR Form

Fee payment (pay order/bank draft) made payable to “AEO-Pakistan”

Outcomes of EOR:

• Improved Score: If your re-marked score is higher than your original score, you will receive a new Test Report Form (TRF) showing the updated score and the examiner’s number. Additionally, you will receive a full refund of the EOR fee.
• No Change in Score: If your score remains the same after re-marking, you will be notified, but you will not receive a new TRF and there will be no refund of the fee.

Processing Time:

The re-marking process typically takes 2 to 21 days, depending on the number of sections requested for review. If you haven’t received a response after 28 days, you can contact the test center for an update.

If you have taken up the IELTS Academic for UKVI or the IELTS General Training for UKVI tests, then you can view your test results 13 days after you complete the test. If you have taken the Life Skills A1, A2, or B1 tests, then you can view your results 7 days after you complete the test. There is no pass or fail in the IELTS Academic or General Training test.
