Every year, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education manages 9th class exams and admissions in Pakistan. Each province has its own BISE responsible for matric part 1/SSC part 1 annual and supplementary exam. In Pakistan, students can seek admission in the 9th class after completing their middle/8th class education from recognized elementary schools. Admission seekers of SSC Part 1 can check the fee schedule of 9th class admission on the official website of the concerned board. Students study elective and compulsory subjects in the 9th class according to their choice.
9th Class Exam Preparation Sources
A good preparation for exams is the symbol of success. Students can adopt multiple sources to prepare for the 9th class course and obtain maximum marks in exams. According to the new rules of IBCC, 40% marks are passing marks for the 9th class. Therefore, students should study authentic, to-the-point notes; model papers; previous/past papers; solved past papers; sample papers; and such other relevant guiding books.
Past Papers
10th-grade students can study past papers from multiple boards. Undoubtedly, previous papers from boards play an important role in understanding the expected questions in the exam. Students can practice solving questions from past papers with the help of model papers and guides.
Model Papers
Model papers are essential for students preparing for 9th class exams. They can purchase or download the latest model papers from reputable publishers. For comprehensive preparation, model papers are a suitable option. In model papers, students can study questions from all subjects chapter-wise. Furthermore, they can find answers to model paper questions. Publishers design model/sample papers according to the boards’ announced pairing scheme.
Pairing Scheme
Pairing schemes/guess papers help students anticipate the most important questions. Usually, boards set questions based on pairing schemes. Students of 9th class can study pairing schemes subject-wise before the exam. They can download the matric pairing scheme in PDF format.
Subject-Wise Short Notes
Short notes are more important for students who lack time for preparation. They can study short notes that cover each important question. However, short notes are uncertain for students to prepare a complete subject.
Online Lectures and Academies
10th-grade students can join online academies and attend online lectures for all subjects. They can listen to free online lectures and clarify their concepts.
9th Class Examinations
The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) duration in Pakistan is two years. BISEs conduct annual and supplementary exams of Matriculation twice a year. Students who fail one or more subjects in SSC part 1 can reappear in the 2nd annual/supply exam. The Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) regulates the exam schedule of all boards in Pakistan. March and April are the two months in which almost all boards conduct 9th class 1st annual exams.
