Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) began its journey as an intermediate college in 1934, later becoming a degree college in 1944. Postgraduate disciplines were introduced in 1985, leading to its establishment as a university on January 5th, 2013. The university serves over six million people in the city and surrounding districts, located near the historic Clock Tower on Jaranwala Road. It acts as a hub for educational, social, and cultural activities, with strong ties to business and industrial communities. With a main campus and a new campus, GCWUF currently hosts over eight thousand students, with enrollment expected to grow.
