About Women University Multan
The Women University Multan (WUM) stands as the city’s first university dedicated to women, nestled in the heart of Multan. Established in 2012 under the Punjab Assembly Act of 2010, the university emerged from the Government Degree College for Women. Committed to academic excellence and societal empowerment, WUM provides comprehensive education and groundbreaking research facilities, aiming to empower women and meet global challenges. History
In response to the growing demand for educational reforms and global standards, The Women University Multan (WUM) was established to cater to the needs of both the city’s inhabitants and the nation as a whole. Initially housed in the Kutchery Campus of Government Degree College for Women, the university soon outgrew its space, prompting the construction of a new campus on Matital Road. This new campus, nearing completion, features essential facilities like administrative blocks, libraries, hostels, and departmental buildings. Since 2017, several departments have already shifted to the Matital Campus, with plans for further relocation in subsequent phases. The university emphasizes values, community, and talent grooming, providing a safe and supportive environment for female students to flourish and realize their potential.
The Women’s University Multan Admissions offers various study options catering to different educational levels. For those completing intermediate education, the university provides the ADP (Associate Degree Program) for entry into undergraduate studies.
