Islamabad Schools Winter Vacations 2024 by Federal Government

The Federal Directorate of Education has released the Islamabad Schools Winter Vacations schedule for all public educational institutions in Islamabad. According to the notification, the vacation is set to take place from December 25 to December 29, with education activities resuming on January 1, 2024. In a separate announcement, Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi declared winter vacations for schools and colleges in the province from February 18, 2024, to January 1, 2024. Meanwhile, the Sindh Department of Education has declared winter vacation for all educational institutions, starting from December 22 and continuing until December 31, as per the issued notification.

Islamabad Schools Winter Vacations 2024 Notification

The federal government declared the winter break for schools and institutions in Islamabad 2024 on Thursday. The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) officially announced the winter holidays for schools and colleges in Islamabad. The break is scheduled to begin on January 25, 2024, and conclude on January 31, 2024, providing students with a total of 7 days of winter vacation. It’s worth noting that schools in Islamabad follow a single or double-shift system. The adjusted school timings after the winter break are as follows:

Single Shift:

• Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Double Shift:

1. Morning Shift:

• Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM

2. Evening Shift:

• Monday – Thursday: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM (after Jumma prayer)
