About Islamia University, Bahawalpur
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, originally founded as Jamia Abbasia in 1925 by Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi – V, transformed into a chartered university in 1975. With five campuses and an expansion of departments to 129, offering over 300 disciplines, the university is committed to providing quality education. It boasts a faculty of over 1,800, including 550 PhDs, and serves around 46,000 students with modern educational facilities.

Established by Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi – V, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur evolved from Jamia Abbasia to Jamia Islamia before attaining university status in 1975.
