The National Examination Board NEB exam is taken from Pakistani nationals who have received medical and dental qualifications from abroad. Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) was established in 1962 in Pakistan. PMDC regulates the educational activities in the Medical and Dentistry fields.

The National Examination Board NEB is a regulation authority of PMDC to conducts tests for all those candidates who have graduated from foreign countries and want to grow their medical careers in Pakistan. PM&DC has authorized in consultation with the various Provincial Governments, officers to take cognizance of the offenses under the Medical & Dental Degrees Ordinance, 1982, and file complaints in the court of competent jurisdiction.
